Lazybrook Park

By Ann Way

Tunkhannock Rotary Club President

Lazybrook Park has proven to be an amazing venue for the Tunkhannock Rotary Harvest and Wine Festival. This event, held annually in October, has been an extremely successful and popular tradition for local people, in addition to folks from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware.

Other members of the Tunkhannock Rotary and I are convinced that much of the success of our event is due to the setting that is Lazybrook Park. The mature trees, the stream, and the area that can be used for parking are positive additions to the actual area of the site that is used for the festival vendors and the band shell. The Tunkhannock Rotary feels blessed that we are able to use this park for our primary fundraiser which, in turn, provides significant financial support to many community organizations.
